Tehran Int’l Short Film Festival extends submission deadline

The Tehran International Short Film Festival (TISFF) in Iran has extended the deadline for submissions by two weeks.

The secretariat of the international section of the TISFF announced on Wednesday that filmmakers can submit their works to the festival’s international section until July 21.

According to the report, the deadline for submissions was extended amid high turnout.

Last week, the Iranian Youth cinema Society (IYCS) reported that the TISFF has been inscribed on the list of Oscar-qualifying film festivals.

Organized by the Iranian Youth cinema Society, the TISFF is one of the oldest short film festivals in Iran and the region.

The TISFF is a member of the International Short Film Conference (ISFC), according to the festival’s website.

The 38th edition of the festival will take place on January 20-25, 2022.
